The Octagon ledges which were a popular site for skaters was closed off in late august by the council and surrounding zurich buildings to be revamped. the ledges which have been closed off since were seen to be cleaned over the week starting 14th september during which most of the undergrowth that had sprung up there was cut down litter has been cleaned out and the whole area is looking alot empty-er. The bad news is folks that the ledges are being said to be having a series of high rails going along them and so deeming them un-skatable.
All hope is not lost yet though as i have heard many unconfirmed reports that there is to be a new skateboarding facility at the back of the oasis leasure centre, however it can only be assumed as the council have done this before that the site will be of poor quality and outdoors which is certainly not ideal. ill try and keep all news posted.
